My journey with the Lord has been from birth. Growing up in a Baptist home gave me an excellent start. Foundations of faith were developed early while attending Sunday school and church regularly. Youth fellowship was a must in my household and my friendships from there have been lifelong.
During my teens, I began understanding the values of serving my Lord, and giving back to others became a part of me. Understanding peoples needs, wants, hurts and desires became evident and I acted upon them.
My formal profession as a teacher guided me while working with children of all ages and backgrounds when living in the Philadelphia area. helping underprivileged kids was my summer experience.
Moving to New Jersey strengthened my abilities and led me to Preakness Baptist Church, where I began working with children.
My next calling was to represent our church tot he Newark Baptist Home for the Aged, where I became very involved. At that time, I was also asked to assist with the Senior congregation at Preakness. Many years later, I am still enjoying our "Young at Hearts", planning programs and ministering to their needs.
I know the Lord has had a special hand in directing me through my life. With His continued help, He will keep showing me the way to serve Him. Slowing down is not n my vocabulary. The best might be yet to come!
